Trishna and Dharamveer were recently invited to Shieldaig and Applecross Primary Schools in Strathcarron at the request of Head Teacher Tom O’Halloran. The visits were part of a series of in-class events intended to give the pupils an opportunity to meet people from a range different faith backgrounds. All the children involved were of primary school age – 5 years old to 12 years old with two classes in Shieldaig (P1-3 and P4-7) and one in Applecross (P1-P6).

Trishna and Dharamveer made the three visits on the 16th and 17th January 2025 and delivered Sikh Cultural Awareness sessions. The sessions provided to be really enjoyable for all concerned with the children having fun tying turbans (with varying degrees of success) and asking the Sikh Sanjog team lots of interesting questions.
